Sunyshore City, by name one would assume it’d be sunny year round but due to the changing of season’s the weather had become a bit colder and the sky a bit darker. It was a regular thing; places all around got the same change of place. It was how nature was and no matter what nature was going to get its way sooner or later.
On such a gloomy day most of the residents living in Sunyshore kept to the city, staying away from the beach side and its large waves. Everyone but Jade Monet; she had ventured to that side of her hometown early that morning with the company of her Pokemon team. At first the sky was as bright as every, the sun shinned beautify with the calm ocean but as time ticked by the sun was covered by dark clouds and the waves got bigger with every cold gust of wind.
The reason why the girl stayed out on such a gloomy day was all because of her Pokemon. She didn’t mind being out with weather like this but thoughts of rain did worry her; but what did rain ever do to someone?
“Happi! Happiny!” Squealed the baby Pokemon from the girls lap just before jumping off and clumsily walking in the cold sand underneath her. Smiling to herself Jade watched the baby Happiny run around in circles, leaving small lines behind her in the sand before falling face first and continuing her running cycle. Turning her gaze away Jade looked at the large flying type beside her. Giving the Pokemon a soft pet the Togekiss looked at her trainer in approval, “Toge~”
With the rest of her Pokemon in various places along the beach playing with one another Jade Monet gave a small sigh of relaxation before looking towards the ocean. From the distance she could make out rain; “I wonder if the wind will bring it over here…” she said aloud in thought, if it did she’d have to pack up everyone and head back home.

There was one thing that he loved about Sunyshore City, and it was the water. He loved it so much, that he wishes he was a water Pokemon so he could live in it. Ironically, water is his favorite type in Pokemon, but he knows he should have an assortment of types so he has an edge in battle. The boy's mood was of course, darker, since the sky was gloomy and had an array of gray clouds within its domain. It made the water less pleasant to look at. Heck, even his own water Pokemon hated these kinds of days.
As he walked past the buildings with Liepard striding right besides him, he saw that the people stayed close to their homes; either underneath the patio over-hang or just inside playing with their Pokemon. Sunyshore City was like a tombstone right now, and the houses were the discolored objects that decorated the inside. "Ugh!!" He sighed right afterwards, black eyes scanning the grounds before him. Maybe he'll go the beach.
And that's what he did.
"Lie! Liepard!" The purple cat Pokemon called up to her trainer, grabbing his attention in hopes of getting a rub on the back. ".. You're always wantin' me to rub your back, don't you?" He crouched down and executed the action, sighing as he stood back up. "We're goin' to the beach." He knew the cat hated water — a lot of cats hated it. It was like drowning to them even if they are standing in water they can stand fully in. Strange; why did dogs love water and why did cats hate it? That critical question will have to wait until later...
... Because someone else was at the beach apparently. This made things harder, and it was all thanks to his inability to talk to someone alone unless there were more people around him. It gave him more security; and the pressure of having to talk to a stranger just made him even more awkward. Oh well. He was straight forward anyways! The boy hoped that the stranger didn't take things too literally.
"I didn't know someone else was here." He replied, his voice rather masculine for his age. Liepard strolled up besides him, jumped into his arms, and curled up, watching the girl's Pokemon from afar with big black eyes. He took a few steps forward so he was closer to the girl.

Moving her hand on the cold sand Jade slowly buried her hand in the sand before pulling it back out and shaking off the grains. Even though the weather was so gloomy Jade couldn’t help but keep smiling. As dark as it was this was nature and it was beautiful just as it was. ‘I wonder how mom and dad are…’ she thought, moving her knees against her chest and leaning her chin on them.
Having ran away from her overly protective parents a year or so before Jade hadn’t faced them since. Yes she had talked to them on the phone a few times but that wasn’t the same. It wasn’t face to face; Jade couldn’t see the sadness they had on their face. Giving a small sigh the girl looked up at the sky before her attention was brought away.
“I didn’t know someone else was here.”
The voice was low due to the distance the person was from her but his words were still audible. Turning her attention to the boy Jade looked up, her blue eyes slowly taking in his appearances details. As he walked closer Jade felt her cheeks flush slowly; she was alright with talking to adults and people who were older then her but when it came down to talking to those closer to her ages Jade’s stomach seemed to always gain that butterfly feeling she detested.
“O-oh, hello there…” She said, her voice soft and low – could he even hear her? “Yeah I know, normally people stay away from the beach when the weathers like this but…” her voice trailed off to look at all her Pokemon, “They all seemed alright with it and they all love playing in the sand.” Pausing for a moment, Jade took at deep breath and smiled up at the boy, “What brings you here?”
