HISTORY:
“Wealth? When it comes down to it the world is a free market and competition is what determines who flourishes and who dies out. Breeder? Well it goes to whoever sells the best pokemon for the lowest price. Being a Coordinator or a Trainer has too much competition for my taste and even then I wouldn’t consider it a stable living. Listen closely Spiral, the best way to make it in this world is by doing the one thing that people need, but no one else does.”
That cynical son of a bitch might’ve been cold, but he was right. Spiral’s father was a former employee for Silph Co. and transferred to Hoenn with his toddler son when a company opened up in LaRousse. While the Devon Corp. did steady business in Hoenn most of their products revolved around pokemon. This left the hardcore technology business ready to be monopolized, the tech dependant city of LaRousse being perfect with their constant use of Blockies and the Battle Tower.
Spiral lived with his father alone, his mother staying in Saffron and separate from her recent former husband. After he grew out of needing care from a personal nanny he spent most of the time with the other children in his daycare. The only important thing he can remember from those days were the times they got to visit the Battle Tower, heavily fascinated with pokemon and eager to become one of those “ace trainers”. Although his father was entirely against the whole pokemon business he gave Spiral a proposition, once he turned twelve he could venture out and start his journey. The catch? He had to return by the time he was fourteen, and if he managed to dominate the local battle tower, then he could do as he pleased..
His journey would be swift and merciless, as he was quickly brought up to speed the trails and labors of being a trainer. But Spiral never gave up and continued his trainer campaign, sweeping through the first half of Hoenn with relative ease aside from a few humiliating defeats. Those losses didn't falter his resolve, rather, it just spurred him to trainer a bit harder until he made his way to Foretree. after an embarrassing loss at Rustboro. However, after finishing with Foretree, Spiral returned home early due to the proximity of the cities. Rather than continue, he retired from his quest and followed his fathers wishes, enrolling in school and letting pokemon training fall into a deserted corner of his life.
That's not to say he gave up on pokemon completely. It took him another few years to become a frequent winning in the battle tower and earn junior battler of the year, but by the time he became eighteen, it was enough. Those minor vacations to Kanto and Johto were no longer enough. With his father's outlook on life, Spiral left with a limitless credit card and a satchel of pokemon. The world is his oyster~~

NINJASK︱BUG//FLYING︱NINJASK︱MALE
This little bugger Spiral caught as a Nincada, fresh from Rustboro while he was starting as a trainer. With some thorough training Nincada evolved and serves as his starting pokemon for battle line ups. Ninjask is Spiral’s aerial transportation along with battler. Relying on its speed and power it usually overwhelmes most of his opponents. However Ninjask drops like a fly, so he’s used as a stat buffer when the match ups aren’t to his favor. Outside of battle Ninjask always shadows Spiral, keeping an eye from afar while using its stealth abilities to fulfill Spiral’s espionage necessities.
SHEDINJA︱BUG//GHOST︱SHEDINJA︱GENDERLESS
Shedninja came along with Ninjask and compliments the team with the latter. If Ninjask is their swift sword then Shedninja is their unmovable shield
KIRLIA︱PSYCHIC︱KIRLIA︱FEMALE
One of the original three (nincada, larvitar, ralts) that Spiral started his old journey through Hoenn with. Ralts was the first pokemon he caught as a new trainer, finding it in the lush city of Petalburg and quickly dispatching it in a battle. Because Ralts was the first pokemon Spiral caught she's highly affectionate of her trainer, to a point where it can rival Tyranitar. Along with reading his emotions and keeping him company, she serves as the psychic and healer of the team. When Ninjask isn't shadowing him, it's not far-fetched to assume that Kirlia is somewhere nearby, ready to teleport in and spring into action at the slightest beckon.
CRAWDAUNT︱WATER//DARK︱CRAWDAUNT︱MALE
Found alongside the creeks of Fortree, Spiral defy made quick work of the giant river beast. Crawdaunt is Spiral's main pokemon when it comes to one-sided battle. With a mixture of brute strength and tenacity, Crawdaunt has no problems showing pokemon just how weak they are in between his claws. Most of Spiral's newer pokemon were put up against Crawdaunt before their eventual capture. But that doesn't mean Crawdaunt doesn't get any light for big battles, he just like saving himself up for beating on the weaker man.
DUSCLOPS︱GHOST︱DUSCLOPSa︱GENDERLESS
Dusclops was one of the few pokemon Spiral didn't mean to capture on his journey. While visiting Mount Pyre, Spiral came across the pokemon which tried to "haunt" him, it wasn't long before Spiral took the matter into his own hands. Because of his rather sluggish speed and less than able battling style, Spiral keeps him in reserve for those battles where he really needs him. If anything Dusclops is more of a bench warmer, occasionally called upon to inflicted a few status conditions before returning to his ball. However, should Dusclops evolve...
TYRANITAR︱ROCK//GROUND︱TYRANITAR︱FEMALE
This behemoth was Spiral's starter pokemon back when he was a wee boy. Since it was just a docile Larvitar, poached and bought from Mt. Silver, sending it off to a new trainer would be the best way to raise it without fearing a scornful Tyranitar in the future. Because of the bond Spiral made with it over the years of traveling she can be quite affectionate, clumsily toppling her trainer when she tries to snuggle with him like she used to. But all looks aside, this girl here can pull out some wicked moves. Tyranitar is the biggest, baddest powerhouse on the team.

how settling. the weather had taken a turn for the worst. but that was perfectly fine for spiral. he found an uncanny comfort in the soothing calmness of the storm. the presence of the rain seemed to cover his rather unpleasant mood. something foul was a foot. the steady beating of droplets against his skin brought him back to life, the freezing water drenching the lively scarlet color from his cheeks. there was a reason he never went drinking alone, it never ended well. grudgingly he tumbled along the back alleyways, stumbling against the walls and tripping over trashcans. it wasn't to say that he was that heavily intoxicated, deceptively angry would've been a more accurate description. it was night like these that he threw his life away. he didn't give a flying fuck about anything other than letting the wind watch over him.
"ugh," he groaned, landing on top of a tipped over trashcan. a crackle above startled him, causing him to try to regain his senses before mumbling to himself. it was nights like these when people stayed home, leaving an empty bar for the lonesome officer. so fucking depressing. so fucking lonely. spiral downed his liquor in a formal fashion before bailing. there was no point dwindling the night away being pitied by the barkeep when he could have such a fun time wandering his sorrows away. Real productive, right?
well, it was still something to do, per sey. time ticked forever as he sat there, letting the water wash away any biding emotions that he had been penting up. wiping away his sopping purple hair, he perked up. it was faint, but he swore he heard something. if there was one thing spiral didn't suffer from, it was voices in his head. the past was the past, nothing would haunt him. rather, tragedies he couldn't prevent would only propel his resolve. that same resolve sent him wobbling forward, trying to get a grasp for what had happened.
there it went again, the faint scream ringing in his ears.
instantaneously three of his pokemon were summoned, blending in with the rather obscure surroundings. in mere moments they were gone, leaving their trainer to call on them when he needed them. that made a world of distance when it came to things like these. a man's scream meant all sorts of trouble. it took a moment, but soon enough he was gunning through the back way, leaping over whatever rubble had washed into his way. with a sliding halt, he found the tattered man, bleeding. lacerations a muck, but he was still breathing. it only took a second for his kirlia to come out, immediately picking up her assignment.
the psychic pokemon placed both hands on the dying man, channeling her power to revive him. that was the problem with petty criminals. the first rule was to always confirm the kill. leaving a wild buck to die in pain was worst than giving it a swift, painless funeral. leaving her to deal with the drained man, spiral tried his best to pursue his tormentor. problem was that he had no idea what happened.
a single turn found him glaring down at the rather endowed woman who had done this. "hey, stop," he ordered from behind, ready to confront her with his worst.
