Good luck with your shop and I’ll take care of my egg; I promise!” Teito had called from the door of his own home. He was visiting his mother to show her the egg that he was given. Already he knew that his mother was going to tell him stop being spoiled and go catch your own Pokemon but she was grateful that he was taken care of a baby egg. She thought of him being responsible young child although being spoiled isn’t going to kick it all the time. After hearing her long lecture, Teito was already getting ready to head out of the door before he grabbed his bags and lunch that his mother had made him, a yummy ham and salami sandwich on it that comes with cookies and juice. Teito was already getting hungry but he knew he shouldn’t be eating the food right away. His mother had packed him some fresh new Pokemon food for his Pokemon.
Although he had went to the Pokemon center before coming to his house, his mother made a double check on his Pokemon, making sure that they where nice and healthy. That was his mother of course, always making sure that he was already. Before Teito was able to walk out of the door, his mother ran up to him and kissed him on the forehead, wishing him a good luck on his journey. He isn’t use to the kiss but he just gave a slight nod, hugging his mother in return before walking out of the house. He closed the door behind him, sighing with relief as he glared back down over towards Zero. “Man sometimes I wonder what I’ll do without her.” Teito had said before he stood up. He was wearing a different outfit then he did earlier, his teal black and white shirt was in his bag with his other two outfits. He was wearing a black, white, and blue jacket with some yellow going down his sleeves.
Teito gave a sigh of relief as he started walking through the snow. “Alright, time to do some training. Let’s get out of Snowpoint City.” Teito moved his feet through the snow as he started walking towards the entrance of the city. It wasn’t long until he passed the Pokemon center and the Pokeshop. “I think I’m all packed up and ready to go. I think mom wanted us to go check on father. He supposed to be in Veilstone City checking on the Ranger base. Although I’m a trainer and not living with my mom right now, I still have to run some errands like bring the extra bag of cookies to him. Man heading back to Veilstone city will be a lot of fun.”
To be honest, Teito has been to every city but Sunyshore city. Due to him not being a huge fan of the hot weather, he would rather stay away from it for now at least. Even though there is a nice beach in that city, he would rather stick with the cold atmosphere. Teito walked out of Snowpoint City, taken out his notebook as he started writing down notes on what he needs to do with his training. He usually keeps track on what needs to be worked on. “Alright, Zero we need to work on your Aqua Jet and Aqua Tail, speed and defense as well. Haruko, we mainly need to work on her leaf blade.” Teito was saying as he went through his whole entire list. “Alright, let’s head over to Lake Acuity. We haven’t been there for a while. I think the last time we actually visited that place was when I was a kid.” “Buie!” Zero agreed which made Teito nod in return. “Let’s move then. First part of training, increasing speed and strength. We’ll run through the snow and head right up to Lake Acuity.” He instructed.
Already he was ready to role. Before they came to SnowPoint City, they had been running through the snow to get to the Pokemon Center but he was getting way too tired. He needs to increase his speed too and what a better way to do this with his Pokemon? This might also help with defense as well. Teito gave another nod before he started running through the snow with Zero behind him. He felt the cold breeze rush through him, making him shiver a bit as he ran. He was doing his best to ignore it like he usually does. Snow was falling from the sky, making the piled of fluff expand even more which was making it much harder for them to run through. This was making Teito pant as he wanted to stop running but he shook it off. “Damn it, more snow keeps coming down. Let’s head to the lake and just rest a bit so that I can write notes down.” Teito told Zero as they kept on running.
After a long run, Teito and Zero had made it to Lake Acuity. Teito was panting heavily as he lay on the snow. “I am done for now. I can’t move another step!” He sighed even though he knows that he needs to work harder or else he wouldn’t get stronger like his Pokemon. Teito was moaning a bit as he rolled on the snow, moving onto his left shoulder as he glared over towards Zero who was glaring at the lake. “Don’t you remember this place? We use to hang out here when I was little. We would always sneak out of the house to come here.” Teito was trying his best to get his Pokemon to remember but Zero had gave a slight nod, smiling as he pointed it’s paw over towards the lake. “Buie!” Teito stood up, still sitting down with his arms over his knees. “Yeah this is that lake…if that is what you are wondering. At least you are starting to remember.” They defiantly need to come here more often or at least whenever they come to Snowpoint City to visit.

The cover of darkness blanketed his sight behind the eyelids and the slow beating of his heart resounded loudly into gongs in his head. His lungs were merely pulsing in coordination with the heartbeat as the little amount of air passing his nose were not enough to make them expand like balloons. He did not move a muscle or think of concerns and thoughts so as to not starve himself of oxygen. He wrapped his entire being with his consciousness, isolating himself from his surroundings like he was in another place and time.
Time ceased to move in his meditation. He did not see, but he wasn't blind. He did not hear, but he wasn't deaf. He did not speak, but he wasn't mute. The cold touch of ice on his skin did not penetrate to his nerves. His senses seemed to have come together to form one ball of light and joined with him as a sentient being.
Meditation does wonders to the mind and the body. There was peace. There was order. There was balance. There was bliss. There was wholeness.
A low, tired growl made the still line spike in a wavelength as an idea from the sound interrupted Chase's lack of thought: hunger.
"Sounds like it's lunch."
He moved his arms first then stretched his legs before slowly opening his eyes to readjust them to the light intensified by the pure whiteness of the snow. His movement had caused the piling snow shelling his body to break and slip on the ground. Beside him, he could see the giant mounds of white, easily mistaken as an ordinary boulder covered in snow, began to stir and shake the frigid semi-ice from them. They revealed their form as a Salamence, a Haxorus, and a Garchomp, all looking exhausted.
It was like he had been in a dreamless sleep while wide awake. He could feel his senses activating again as the temperature had caused him to shiver upon contact to his naked, scarred torso. Chase turned in front and saw a boy and his Pokemon just half a feet before them. Chase shook his surprise mentally. He had temporarily forgotten that they have been meditating for a couple of hours when snow was falling rather heavily and covered them up quickly. The sudden lack of raining snow and there being a person and a Pokemon made him feel that he had woken up in a completely new place.
"Good afternoon," he greeted with a straight face. He hoped he had not interrupted them. He was too deep into meditation to have felt their presence. "We're simply training. Don't mind us."
The dragon trio shivered violently and sneezed out dragonbreath simultaneously that would lick Teito and his Buizel if they had not moved away. Then their stomachs growled unhappily as if to vocalize their sad faces.
Chase shook his head but he couldn't help but smile a little. Though they were weak against low temperatures, they made it through without anyone fainting and he was proud of that. "Don't look so weak in front of others! You're mighty dragons of Blackthorn City and you always carry a fire within you! No cold will make you fall!"
The dragons responded dully but it was overwhelmed by more growling stomachs.
"I suppose even the inner fire needs some wood..."

Zero kept on rolling all over the place to get all the snow on him but soon once the Buizel got up, it sneezed which made me put my hand on his head. Teito knew that his Pokemon would do that but he just wanted him to have fun after all, they been training a lot lately. It’s about time that Zero to have some fun. Teito smiled as he rubbed his hand on his head to pet him. “Zero, you are going to catch a cold if you do that.” Teito had said to the Buizel who was smiling as he got petted.
Teito sighed as he realized that maybe they should start heading over to Veilstone city but to be honest, he was a bit nervous for seeing his father. Due to him not knowing him well, he is probably wondering why I haven’t visited him for ages. Teito mainly visits his mother often to help her with the breeding shop for a bit but rarely see’s his dad. This made Teito shake his head with annoyance which made Zero look up at him, blinking constantly as Teito lifted up his hand from his head. He put his hand on the snow before he flopped over on his right side. To Zero it looked as if he was going to go to sleep as he moved his left hand underneath his head to lay on while having his right hand laying in front of him on the snow.
Zero grinned a bit before walking over towards the other side of him, standing right in front of his face as he glared right back at it’s trainer. “Buie?” Teito lifted up his head a bit, blinking once he spotted his Buizel glaring at him. He smiled before moving his right hand to pet his Buizel on the head once more. “You look worried about me. Don’t worry I’m fine. I just need some time to think.” Thinking for him was mainly deciding what does he want to do. Would he rather be a trainer or be a Ranger like his father. Destiny is what he can’t decide at this moment although he has been thinking about it a lot lately. He enjoys being around Pokemon and helping out as much as he can but he also likes to do battling as well. It’s pretty tricky to decide what he wanted to do.
He started to sigh once more before he sat up. He wrapped his hands around his knees before he decided to stand back up. “I’m going to end up falling asleep on this snow which wouldn’t be good since I’ll get sick.” Teito yawned as he stretched out. “Should we continue on our journey to Veilstone City or should we do some training?” Zero was glaring at Teito before shaking it’s head and pointing it’s paw towards the ground. “Buie!” This made Teito sigh once he notices this. “I’m guessing you want to stay huh? Alright fine, as long as I don’t fall asleep.” Teito sat back down, digging into his bag to take out his notepad as he started going through the list of what they needed to do. “Alright let’s work on those move. Aqua Jet needs to be more stronger and so does Aqua Tail but that also needs work with aiming. Let’s see where to start?”
Before Teito was going to start giving instructions for his training, he heard a voice coming from his distance which had made him jump almost 10 feet into the air once he heard “good afternoon”. Once he turned around he spotted a trainer, meditating with a 3 dragon type Pokemon. So that was what Dragon type Pokemon look like? To be honest, Teito never seen one before in person. His eyes grew wide once he spotted them but soon he shook his head to get rid of the excitement that was flowing through his mind. How long have they been meditating there for and why are they meditating? Teito had so many questions to ask but he wonder if he should just leave them be. “Oh I didn’t see you there. I hope I wasn’t interrupting your….meditating?” Sometimes he wonders how the heck those work?
The trainer walked away a bit, moving a few steps towards his right, not realizing that he was missing the dragonbreath that came from the three dragons. Zero was glaring at the dragon Pokemon before it started walking behind Teito but once it did, Zero had slipped on the snow, shaking it’s head with annoyance as snow flakes began to fall on his noise. The Buizel looked up at the sky to see more snow flakes and instantly, the Buizel jumped up as it tried to catch every single one of them in his area. Teito didn’t notice it until he turned around to see what his Buizel was doing. “Zero, your acting like a little baby.” He giggled a bit before turning around. “You slipped on the snow too didn’t you? I thought you were use to the snow.”
Once he said this, Zero looked over towards him but Teito was hesitating once he noticed this. The look in his eyes, the narrowed eyes as he glared deeply into him which was making Teito shiver. “Zero, what are you up to?” He questioned his partner but after he did, Zero started running towards him with full speed, pushing himself off his paws as he tackled his trainer to the ground. They made a huge thumb noise as Teito lay there on the soft snow with his Buizel on him. “Buie!” This made Teito laugh as he tried to sit up a bit but not all the way as he started petting him. “Well aren’t you hyper today huh? You know that hurt right?” He wasn’t use to his Buizel acting this way but then again, they are in a place where they use to hang out so it might make sense for him to be doing this.
Teito sighed before he glared back at the trainer once more. “Once again sorry about the noise.” He apologized but only to blink once he heard the trainer talking to his three Pokemon and mentioning Blackthorn City. “Blackthorn City? I never heard of it.” He murmured as he glared back over to Zero. “Have you?” This had made Zero shake his head. “Buie?”

He understood that a local boy like this kid was still ignorant of some things in the world. A good Trainer would instantly recognize his honorable hometown upon mention of its name for it was where the greatest Dragon Pokemon Trainers came from but the tinge of annoyance was still there. Chase's strong, solid eyes briefly remained on Teito, the unsmiling face of his and immense space he seemed to occupy were rather intimidating.
"It's a great city in the region of Johto," Chase answered. "If you were a Trainer, you would know it is the hometown of many honorable Dragon Pokemon Trainers and is also the city of the dragon clan of which I'm part of."
Chase looked away from Teito and move several feet from his freezing dragons. "You better step back, kid. This could get dangerous," Chase instructed before his voice boomed loudly. "Zuko, Jian Liang, Fou-lu, stand and focus!"
Despite the extreme shivering, the three Pokemon followed the order. They pulled themselves up and tried very hard to remain standing and fight the chill in the air.
"Raise your head! Gather the power inside of you! Focus your power and timing with the others!" Chase pointed to the sky. "Ready! Three, two, one - Dragon Pulse!"
All at once, three aquamarine spheres cored a white star-shaped light were blasted simultaneously upward from the mouths of the three dragons. The spheres were spiraling inwardly until they became small balls in the sky and collided, causing a white aura to explode and a deafening bomb to resound. Chase turned back to his dragons, nodding approvingly. They appeared better and stronger as if they had just released the negative energy pulling them down.
"Great work!" Chase praised. He turned to the civilian, wanting to get a glimpse of his awed reaction from that spectacle. He no longer made it a habit to brag but he still liked to have his ego massaged once in a while. It didn't matter if it were directed to him or to his dragons; for Chase, they were the same thing. Seeing the amazement on people's faces simply never gets old.
But there was something he had to ask the boy first. It was Chase's first time in Snowpoint so he didn't know the Pokemon around here very well. "What are the wild Pokemon here you know of? My Pokemon are hungry from training. If there's something big and meaty around him, that would be nice."
The dragon Pokemon nodded enthusiastically, licking their lips. They eyed at Buizel inconspicuously. They weren't thinking of eating the human's Pokemon, but he looked tender and delicious. If there were wild Pokemon of Buizel's kind around, they would simply devour it whole. YUM YUM.

Was he too loud for him to even hear it? He didn’t think that he spoke that loud. “I’m a new trainer. Although I have a full team, I don’t know much of anything about other regions but the Sinnoh Region.” He growled as he stood up, whipping off the snow that was on him. “Johto region right? I haven’t really heard of it but once I traveled. Also my name is Teito Katsuo, not kid.”
Before Teito was even to respond more, he watched the trainer instruct the dragons to do their move. Instantly he watched the dragon pulse go up into the sky. His eyes were wide with shock once he had spotted this. He never really seen Dragon Pulse in action due to him still as a new trainer and having a full team already, he doesn’t see many Dragon type Pokemon around. They are pretty interesting creatures.
Already this was making Teito want to test out how well he works out with a Dragon type Pokemon. He enjoys working with different types. This made him smile but soon he started remembering what Chase was saying about Blackthorn City is a honorable place. I don't know much about Blackthorn City. To me, Snowpoint City is a honorable place for me but as for Sinnoh, I think it would have to be Jubilife City because of the TV station."
Teito soon blinked then looked away, arms crossed before he spoke once more. “Anywise you did a nice job with raising your dragon type Pokemon. I don’t see them around here due to dragon being week against ice type Pokemon and there are a bunch of them that roam around here but I guess that is also good to have them here so that they can get use to the cold of the Ice type Pokemon.” He was once again speaking his mind before he glared over at Zero who was eyeing on the dragon Pokemon. “Don’t start anything bud. We don’t need that today. Remember we were working on your training. Now let’s see use Aqua jet up at the sky then use Aqua and hit it with watergun!”
Was it his turn to shine now or was it his turn to fail? Zero gave a slight nod, surrounding it’s self into water as it shot up into the air. Although his speed isn’t the best yet but he was able to get up a bit quickly before he started to dissolve the Aqua Jet and had shot out Aqua tail from his tail, right up towards the sky then shooting out water gun. It barely missed but he was able to hit the attack. Water started falling from the sky like pouring rain but mixed in with the cold weather had made it cold. This made me shiver once I got hit by the rain and had sighed. “Nice job although you barely missed the attack and now I’m freezing. Nice going Zero.” He soon started writing down notes in his notebook. “Alright so we still need to work on that. Let’s see what else we could do with this.”
Teito was writing down some diagram of his Buizel using Aqua jet and Aqua tail. He is a decent artist but not the best. While he was writing down what had happened during first part of training, Chase mentioned something about eating which made him blink constantly.
“There is a Pokemon center nearby in Snowpoint City. They have good food here and what you mean by big meat and Wild Pokemon? Only Pokemon here is mainly Ice types.” He heard a growl coming from his Buizel as Zero glared directly over towards the dragons that were licking their lips which made Teito jump up and stomp his foot on the fluffy snow.
“Are you fucking crazy? Do you suspect to eat my Pokemon or any of the ice type Pokemon here? Absolutely no! Pokemon eat Pokemon food and not other Pokemon! If you land one paw on my Buizel or any Pokemon around here while I’m with you then I’ll fight you if I have to.” He was growling underneath his breath but he felt anger rushing through him. He doesn’t know why he was so pissed off but it’s probably because of the fact that he lived here for so long.
“Why would they want to eat Ice type Pokemon anywise since they are dragon types? Forget it. There is a Pokemon center in Snowpoint city that has food there. They can eat all they want since their food is really good besides my mom’s cooking. Eat there instead.” While he was yelling this, Zero was tugging on his shirt as he tried to pull him back from moving forward and raging. “Buie!” “Sorry Zero but I’m not going to allow them to have you for dinner.”
He didn’t like this trainer as much as he hopped because of the dragons wanting to eat the Pokemon in this area. He was born here and raised in Snowpoint City. He wouldn’t want anything to happen to the Pokemon that lived here. He does have some of that Ranger blood running through his vans because of his father being a Ranger. He sighed then crossed his arms, looking away annoyed as he glared back at the trainer. “Although I barely know much about my father but he taught me not to rage when it comes to this. First step as a Ranger even though I’m not one like my father.” He soon turned over, giving a slight nod for his apology. “Sorry for the rage there but I didn’t like what you said. I guess the Dragon type Pokemon gave it away too.”

He seemed to have offended the kid. Chase knew what Teito meant but he still found it pretty illogical. Having traveled far to train, Chase had had people like Teito express a strong opinion against some of Chase's methods; for instance, hunting wild Pokemon for food. Dragon Pokemon were carnivores. It was only expected that they hunt and eat other Pokemon as per the law of nature. He knew those Pokemon Center food Teito was talking about but Chase didn't believe inorganic food mixed with chemicals was going to be healthy for anyone. Diet was something Chase was very particular about.
However, Chase respected people's decisions - ones that were honorable and just. Teito had the desire to protect the Pokemon even if it meant putting his life on the line. Chase would have to salute the kid for his bravery. Not only that, Teito reminded Chase of himself when he was young. He saw how Teito took down notes to evaluate Buizel's performance, which was a habit a Chase used to do once upon a time.
He placed a hand on Teito's shoulder with a force that would have made his smaller figure shake. A tight grip was Chase's way of showing encouragement without realizing his strength had the slight chance of dislocating shoulders. "I have no intention of harming your Pokemon, and neither do my comrades."
The dragons, hearing the implication of their Trainer's words, exchanged shocked glances. They turned to Teito and shook their heads furiously. They would not, not at all! They would never dream of eating a Trainer's Pokemon. A Pokemon was a Trainer's friend and family. They have grown just like any other Pokemon had and knew to treat life with respect.
"We'll respect your decision, however, to not hunt any of the wild Pokemon here," Chase continued, looking down at the smaller kid. "But I hope you don't think badly of Dragon Pokemon. They are a friendly and wise species. It's my dream for the world to recognize them as a peaceful Pokemon, not tools for destruction." Chase gave him a small smile. "I'm Chase Edenbreath of the Dragon Clan of Blackthorn City. This is Zuko," - the Salamence gave a shy smile - "Fou-Lu," - the Haxorus shook its head. It was probably its way of saying hello - "Jian Liang," - the Garchomp waved a hand. Chase then raised his finger and pointed at the lake. "-and Shui."
From the lake, a Dragonair suddenly jumped out and wagged its tail to greet Teito before diving back into the lake. Chase turned back to Teito. "We have better get going somewhere then. If you're really a Trainer, I wouldn't really recommend processed food for your Pokemon. For sure, it's not something I would feed my team with. I don't even understand where you got the idea Pokemon don't eat other Pokemon," Chase said, slightly frowning. "Besides, you find wisdom in hunting for your own food, aside from the training benefit. It's not as easy as it sounds."
He then went near a mound of snow and pulled out his bag from underneath it. He grabbed a shirt inside and wore it. He moved toward his comrades, ready to head out. "We'll see you around, Teito. Everyone's hungry already, including myself. Maybe we could battle each other next time."
