His father was a doctor while his mother worked in Goldenrod and was rarely home, focusing much of her attention on her carrier at the radio station. Rin kept to himself as a child, he never felt like associating with the other children very much and mostly played with his father’s Pokémon, making good friends with his Wartortle. Both of Rin’s parents were originally from the Kanto region, his father having been being born in Cerulean city while his mother came from Lavender town. They decided to move to Blackthorn city to further their carriers and start a family. One fateful night, Rin’s mother was late home, in somewhat of a panic his father rang her work but they assured him that she had left and was on her way. She never came home that night, having been killed in an accident. Rin’s life was never quite the same since. His father became withdrawn and buried his head in his work and all but ignored his son (Rin reminded him too much of his deceased wife). Rin was devastated by his mother’s loss and found him-self unable to stay in Blackthorn City as he got older. He left town at age eleven to start on his own Pokémon journey. His first captured Pokémon was a Dratini he had found while hanging out near Blackthorn gym. Rin felt that he needed to escape his mother’s ghost and father's neglect and so set out on a journey to distance himself as much as he possibly could from what was left of his family, his hometown and all the memories attached to it with his Pokémon, his true family, by his side. Rin hopes of one day heading his own Gym although of what type alignment he isn't sure. Lars first joined Rin as a Dratini but has since evolved. The dragon is very protective of Rin and dislikes his Pokeball at the very best of times. He’s very slow to warm up to others but once he can be sure that the other person wont do any harm to Rin he’ll back off a bit. AO︱WATER-FLYING︱GYARADOS︱MALE Befriending Ao was a complete and utter accident on Rin’s part. He in fact meant to capture a Golduck but an extremely poor throw on his part saw the Pokeball go wildly off target and hit a Magikarp instead. Rin had no initial desire to keep this Pokémon but the Magikarp grew on him and he decided to take on the torturous task of training it. After many years of hardship Ao finally did evolve. As a Gyarados Ao became much prouder and stronger, he’s a fierce and stubborn Pokémon but is loyal to Rin for not ditching him when he had the chance, he shares a strong bond with his trainer. RAZ︱NORMAL-FLYING︱BRAVIARY︱MALE The most recent edition to Rin’s team is Raz. He caught this Pokémon on his recent travels through Unova. Raz has quickly asserted himself in Rin’s team and the trainer has found that he loves flying with the Pokémon, so much so that he asks Raz for a fly on a regular basis. The two have quickly become close although Rin needs to work a lot harder to make sure Raz quickly gets on par with the rest of his team. STYX︱FIRE︱QUILAVA︱MALE Rin doesn’t get often angry but when he does he makes up for it. He’s never been more furious than the day he met Styx. While traveling Rin was witness to Styx’s old trainer verbally and physically abusing him then abandoning him to the side of the road screaming ‘I never wanted you!’ Overcome with rage Rin went to the Pokémon’s aid and did his best to reassure it that it would not be harmed. Afterward he stormed off after the trainer with Styx in tow. Rin told off the other trainer who told him to mind his own business, and challenged him to a battle. Rin won that day, more than a simple match, but an extremely loyal and dear friend. LAW︱STEEL︱STEELIX︱MALE Rin came across Law while stumbling about blindly in a cave lost. Law was already evolved and proved to be one of the most difficult fights against another wild Pokémon Rin has ever experienced. Law was adamant not to be captured while Rin only wished to escape the cave with his life and his other Pokémon safe. It was Ao who eventually brought Law’s strength down low enough for capture. The trainer caught the steel type for lack of anything better to do in the situation. Rin’s relationship with the steel Pokémon has been rather touch and go but he’s determined to win the strong-willed Pokémon over. Dresner didn’t often walk to work, he preferred to get there via motorcycle but he planned on having more than a few drinks after he clocked off and he wasn’t nearly so stupid as to try and drink and drive. He didn’t live that far away from Hell Inc. but he enjoyed the fifteen-minute ride nonetheless. Candy was also usually not his typical breakfast, okay maybe it was but that was after a cup of tea and a muffin. Reading the newspaper was also actually part of his job. Research and keeping up to date with politics and international relations, as well as at home, was important in the department of war crimes. Schemes were hard to set up, but it was well worth the pay off. The demon rolled the lollipop around in his mouth as he continued to read his book, deftly avoiding people as he walked without even looking up from the publication. He made excellent time to work and entered the grounds with a lot of time to spare. Being in the department of war crimes may look like a good job to some but they didn’t sit on their demonic asses all day, they actually did work and coming in early and staying back late was a requirement of the job, not that Emery minded, he was fully committed. So committed in fact he’d lost a fair few relationships simply because he ignored them for his work Dresener wanted a top position, his ambition was to be the direct cause of a major-scale war, even a world war, and he wasn’t going to accomplish that goal if he let silly personal relationships get in his way. It just wouldn’t do at all. Dresner for the most part completely ignored those around him as he walked through the courtyard, intent on reaching his office without much fuss. This however was not meant to be; someone to his left tripped and fell, crashing into him, which he almost dodged, almost. Emery’s book went flying and landed near a bench, which was unfortunately occupied by a grinning male who looked somewhat familiar to him. Despite not actually associating himself very much with staff from other areas unless he had a calculated reason, Emery did study faces and the names that belonged to them. Gossip and teasing was common in his department, they were very close, a tight knit group and had the tendency to laugh at everyone below them. Emery was no exception however he only joined in when he deemed it appropriate and never went too far. The demon went to pick up his book that had landed a little too close to the other demons shoes for his liking. He sighed and picked up the printed material with a scowl on his face. He’d find whoever had been so stupid enough to fall and push him over and make them pay for killing the good morning he was having. [/style] |
