Having been raised in Pacifidlog Town her whole life, Opal developed a deep love for the ocean and its inhabitants. She spent her past-time swimming with her Horsea, whom she named Neptune after the god of the sea. As she reached the age of 14, she learned the truth about her parents and figured out that she was basically an orphan. However, she looked up to the elderly couple as her family, and was grateful for all they had done for her.
