His vision was going dark, completely blinking out every time his eyelids collapsed. His legs were trembling over his own weight and his heavily bandaged arms were numb and throbbing, their heaviness doubling. Both shallow and deep cuts were all over his body and scars were sure to leave him as a reminder. Chase didn't care. For all it was worth, they were the symbol of his trial. It was the eighty-fourth day since he entered the Dragon's Den, provisions in the sack on his shoulders and an excitedly shaking egg on his arms. Here where the hearts and souls of the Dragon Pokemon were the breathing air and the nights and days passing by unnoticed in the seclusion within the deep cave, Chase greeted the newborn Axew from its hatching and since then, they have been training.
He raised his head, the speed and motion blurring the rock-hard ground as he tried to straighten up and unbend his back. His knees buckled in and he staggered, taking a few steps forward to regain his balance, his arms swinging limply on his sides. His chocolate-colored eyes fell on the large boulder before him. The four hundred fourth. He wanted to think that this was the last. For days, they have been breaking boulders they could find. They climbed rough terrains and even swam across the violent lake to reach a piece of boulder to destroy. The first month had been very daunting to his physical and mental capabilities. Teaching a Pokemon everything from scratch, training discipline and exerting authority, as well as stretching his patience beyond what he could handle; it was truly a test, a trial. It was a long wait for Axew to finally evolve to a Fraxure. An Axew's growth was very slow. It was difficult to keep tabs of an Axew's development that Chase spent many times doubting the effectiveness of his training. However, now that Axew had evolved, it definitely showed a huge mark in their progress. It was only a matter of time until Fraxure evolved into a Haxorus.
But a month had passed by and he counted the days that lengthened into weeks. They have been doing the same thing but Fraxure had not evolved to his final evolution yet. Chase did not voice out his worries and concerns. He merely continued on, trying to be encouraging and hopeful. It wasn't like he needed to evolve the young dragon within a time limit. The Dragon Clan merely asked him to evolve the dragon into its final stage. It didn't matter how long it might take but Chase knew more than that. They have given him a test to see his worth and in Chase's eyes, an opportunity to completely redeem himself. He wasn't going to sit around and wait. He was going to do it here and now. He hungered for the recognition and achievement. He wanted them to see that he was no longer a cocky brat gawking at adults from afar in awe, an amateur Trainer scattered with what to do with his own Pokemon, or an aimless dreamer still in search for a purpose in his fights. He was eighteen, a legal adult, and he knew exactly what he wanted, what he needed to do.
Chase swallowed a huge gulp of air. He had failed them once, failed himself a hundred times. He wasn't going to stop and give up. Chase's bare chest expanded as his lungs were filled with oxygen. He threw his head up, balled his fingers into tight fists, and let out a roar that seemed boyish and almost comedic. It echoed through the empty halls of the cavern and rang like a mantra in his head. It evened his breathing and gave him one last ounce of strength. Stubbornly, he picked up the fallen sword too huge for him, but it was the only one that could do decent breakage on the rocks without splitting into half. The sword was identical to a Haxorus' blade - onyx black with blood red edge - except it was twice bigger, having been formed from two similar blades. He had been joining the training by actually participating in it. Rather than do damage though, he felt the power on his every swing return to him tenfold times. He had been careful at first on his swings but eventually, he gave it all out. There had been several times when he swung wrongly and injured himself. Fortunately, none of them had been very serious.
His direct involvement in the training made it easier to understand and appreciate the effort and hardship the Pokemon faces. Chase lowered his glance toward the Fraxure. Chase wouldn't have made it this far alone. No, none of them would have made it anywhere this far without each other. Having a partner to share the burden and push each other one more step forward was the ultimate reason behind their success. But more than that, Chase began to understand the purpose of a Trainer. He was not the master, the ruler, or the king of his Pokemon. He knew just by this experience that he was weak and feeble compared to them. He was the foundation lying at the very bottom. For that, he must always be showing to trying his best no matter what.
Fraxure appeared exhausted. His back was turned to Chase but something about his stillness made Chase feel something wasn't quite right. He didn't want Fraxure to lose hope. Never. Now wasn't the time for Chase to fall. He must fight to support Fraxure. He couldn't give him any prep talk or sweeten the bitterness of defeat. Chase...he was never good with words, but Chase believed the saying that actions speak louder than words. He didn't need to say anything. He had to show him...show Fraxure that his own Trainer wasn't giving up...didn't want to give up...
Chase's vision darkened completely. He forced it open but he didn't know anymore if he were even awake and were dreaming what he was seeing. Fraxure was bathed in light, his figure getting taller and wider, axe-like blades protruding from his mouth...Chase wanted to see the rest of it unfold but he finally dropped down, fainting.
The sound of the whirlpools spinning slowly awakened him. Tiredly, he opened his eyes, an unfamiliar Pokemon greeting him with a pair of blinking eyes. He thought he was seeing Axew again when he had just hatched from his egg; a clueless baby dragon who experimentally stood on his legs and wobbled toward Chase with his arms spread out like he was walking on a balancing bar. The memory pulled itself together, waking Chase from his trance. He was right. He was seeing the newborn Axew – this time, reborn in his ultimate form, Haxorus.
Chase didn't dare sleep. He stared at the ceiling shrouded in darkness, resting quietly on the cold ground. The Haxorus dropped on his rear, wondering why the human was grinning so widely while his eyes streamed with tears.
After so many long years of nothing but frustration, he finally did it. He finally did something right.

((read only the last two paragraphs <<))
"no ... this is too ..."
from under his red cap, a black-haired boy stared at the opening of the cave. could he do this? the last time he was here, there was his good friend, and they were going around everywhere, seeing the sights, getting into trouble, messing around with the wild pokémon who were far too docile to attack them. they got into general misadventures, his friend with his charmander, and he himself with his pikachu. laughing, they trekked through union cave together - he remembered a not-so-distant time where he was left alone with tears welling up within his eyes after he thought he'd lost his path. but at the end there was this tiny flicker of light, and saladin was slowly making his way towards him, then finally he heard laughter. 'oh there he was,' the statement echoed throughout the cave, and the kid smiled through the first drops of falling tears - what had happened was when the other boy hadn't run away, hadn't left him alone in cherrygrove ...
zafaar inhaled deeply. could he manage going through the icy caverns with a missing member? with only ikram and saladin with him, the teenager felt a tad insecure - and the pikachu was reading him too easily. she was sitting on the ground firmly, stubby little arms crossed and her expression serious as ever. if he wasn't feeling confident, she wasn't going to let him through. if he didn't have the confidence to take all of them through the pathways, they were going to train and get into adventures that were safer. as much as the electric mouse loved the rush of adrenaline, she wasn't up to putting a fourteen-going-on-fifteen-year-old in danger he couldn't cope with. zafaar wasn't the courageous one; he was logical, calm, and perhaps a little pessimistic. but he was changing, the rodent knew - she nudged the salamander lightly, her eyes hinting towards the budding trainer.
"the ice path is intimidating ..."
it wasn't easy, but they finally made it to blackthorn. going back without scaling a mountain meant going through the icy trek again. zafaar glanced back, over his shoulder and at the two pokémon looking at him. "any suggestions?" he muttered under his breath, "we're not gunna make it through ..." his face was visibly worried as his hands tucked themselves in his trousers' pockets. "... ikram?" his crimson eyes, hidden behind the glass of his spectacles, fell on the yellow pokémon. his eyes were oddly dull for someone his age; it was as if he hadn't slept for quite some time, and was currently operating on only a couple hours of rest. they were slightly bloodshot as well, for some unknown reason - however, it was apparent that the boy was not his usual self, and he hadn't been for a very long time. "we're not going to make it, huh."
he was pessimistic, yes, but that was only because he knew that there was no way saladin had enough firepower in him to overcome all the ice-types that came their way; he was certain that ikram would be bludgeoned to death by the stronger creatures that lurked within. "chaa!"
ikram called out to the boy, climbing onto his small, slim shoulders and urging him on. she'd spied another cave in the distance; that one did not look quite as intimidating, and they'd surely be able to cope. saladin, however, was having second thoughts - there was something inexplicably sacred about the place, from the way it was decorated and how not many people ventured near it. it was a simple comparison, really - there was a stark difference between the entrance to the ice path and the other cave separated by a small lake. the electric rodent gripped the silent boy's collar tightly, then whipped him across the face. he glanced up. "what's the matter with you, ikram?" he demanded, shock and rage mingling in a sudden burst of emotion that neither pokémon had seen for a while. ikram returned his glare with her own apprehensive gaze, then she huffed at him and started running towards the other cave. if zafaar wasn't going to move his ass, she was going to make him do it. standing all day under the sun, watching people walk in and out of the caverns was not her idea of spending the whole week - after all, at the rate they were going, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that the imperia kid would only decide on their course of action after a week or so. ikram did not have saladin's patience either; the lizard could wait and wait, but she couldn't. "h-hey!" zafaar suddenly stated aloud, his breath intake sharp and rapid as he ran after her, "where are you going?"saladin stared on, slowly walking after the boy, smirking at the red mark across his face. guess it took ikram to wake him up from his stupor ... maybe they'd finally get a move on. sacred cave or otherwise, they were finally going somewhere. truth be told, he was a little bored of the day's events; what ikram did, though brutal (yet completely her), was sufficient enough to get them somewhere. any-freakin'-where. pleased, yet keeping his emotions suppressed, the charmander picked up his pace and raced after both boy and pikachu, soon enough catching up with them at the tip of the lake. zafaar took a deep breath, and nodded at ikram. "let's go!" he said, grinning as he splashed his way across the lake, finally swimming when it got too deep - ikram hitched a ride atop his cap, while saladin merely scaled the rocky walls to land on the other side safely. the charmander wasn't keen on getting himself wet; he exhaled, dropping a smokescreen to mask their entry into the cavern. they hadn't got too far into it when zafaar fell through something - "ikraaaam! sa - la -"the last syllable was drowned out by a deafening splash as the boy dropped into the lake down below; the whirlpools were spinning like always, turning the tides to draw him in deeper and closer to them, whirling devilishly to pull him in - he flailed, gasping for air - his cap was left on ground due to the fall - he watched ikram and saladin scramble down, the former crying aloud - the maelstrom was drawing him deeper into her - the boy struggled, but to no avail - his arms raised above the water - the charmander was running towards the side, growling as he punched the ground, for there was nothing he could do - ikram was frantically running along the narrow pathways after him - he could see her vaguely - she couldn't catch up - at long last, he smiled and inhaled; if this was it, then. this. was. it. saladin was trying his best to keep calm despite the dire situation; if the cave was really they had thought it to be, then this was most definitely the end - but from what his trained senses could spy, there was someone lurking around in the distance; ikram couldn't see them, of course, the silly little mouse was far too emotional when situations like this happened. after all, zafaar had saved her from a similar watery fate a number of years ago - she was drowning after another child had thrown her into the lake, and he'd saved her ... it was only natural that she wanted to save her friend from a similar experience. he sucked in an amount of air - quickly, the reptile worked to form scattered embers, spraying them across the water so that the dark pools would reflect them. it wasn't shiny, but it would, at the very least, get their attention, saladin reckoned - trying was better than not at all.[/blockquote]

His joints and muscles were writhing in pain but the joyousness pouring from his chest was like spiritual water numbing the pain. He didn't care how much in a bad state he was left in. It was slowly starting to sink to him that reality had favored him once. He had always tried hard, tried his best, but Chase's efforts never seemed to be good enough. He never backed down, never ceased the fight despite everything just blowing up in his face; then finally, he was rewarded with great recognition of his tenacity. Everything worked out more perfectly in the end. He began to see the images of his one-armed father and mother in the ceiling. They were beckoning for him to come to congratulate his success with a warm embrace. Chase's tears dried and his eyelids dropped a margin. His family and the elders of the Dragon Clan were waiting for him...
Suddenly, Chase's eyes shot open, his drowsiness suddenly leaving him. The proud faces in his head vanished completely and an ominous feeling entered his chest. Haxorus was not beside him anymore. From his point of view, he could see Haxorus looking at something. He tried to move, putting his weight on his elbow and shifting to one side.
“Haxorus, what’s wrong?” he asked.
Haxorus turned to Chase. He may look physically different now but Chase could see the same pair of baby eyes on his face. He made shuffling noises with his feet and then walked away toward the edge of the path they were on. His head was bowed down, looking down at the waters. Then he waved his arms and looked at Chase again.
He wanted him to come and see it. Chase didn’t have a hard time understanding Pokemon especially one who he had been with everyday; however, it was a rather difficult request to fulfill because of his condition right now.
Chase didn’t say no anyway. Very, very slowly, he crawled to the cliff, dragging his body and feet. He plopped toward the edge with an exhausted sigh. He checked what was it Haxorus was looking at.
…water.
Chase didn’t even say anything. He just stayed there as Haxorus intently watched the spinning of the whirlpools.
Just as Chase was ready to resign to sleep, a cry echoed from below. His head shot up in alarm. “That was a Dratini,” he said, blinking his eyes open. He checked the lake below and saw a Dratini cutting through the waters right into the whirlpool. “What’s it doing there? Is it getting sucked in?”
Whirlpool areas in the lake were usually due to Kingdra. Their movement whipped out whirlpools in the water. He figured there was a congregate in the river below. Dratini and Dragonair usually stayed farther from the other water-dwellers in the cave.
“We have to save it!” Chase cried out, forcing himself to stand up but even he didn’t have the adrenaline left. He held on Haxorus for support. “Haxorus, you have to call our comrades!” Chase said. Inside the cave were his other Pokemon. They hadn’t met Haxorus yet but he had given them instruction that should he be requiring help, he would give them a call. “Use Roar!”
Haxorus turned to Chase and blinked. He inadvertently cut strands of his hair with the axe on his head.
“Roar, Haxorus, Roar,” Chase repeated slowly, moving away. Haxorus wasn’t used with those axes yet. He didn’t want to get his neck slit next.
But Haxorus was even more confused. Chase scratched his head. Haxorus hadn’t been taught to use any moves at all. Chase supposed the only thing Haxorus knew was Rock Smash. “I guess I have no choice.” He took a deep breath and made a loud cry, “JIAN LIANG!”
His cry echoed in the cave. After a few seconds, a roar had cried back, echoing in the same manner. Chase grinned proudly, waiting expectantly for the Garchomp to appear on the ground below. The dragon was very mobile in land and not too soon, he saw Jian Liang reappear. The Dratini was resisting the Whirlpool but not for too long.
“Jian Liang!” Chase shouted to get his attention. When Jian Liang looked up, Chase pointed to the whirlpool and the Dratini getting sucked in. “Neutralize it by creating a reversed Whirlpool!”
Jian Liang nodded. It dove right into the lake and swam straight for the Whirlpool. Chase was confident he would get the job although. Although the Garchomp was a land shark, Chase had Jian Liang trained in the waters as well. Chase then saw tiny figures from where Jian Liang was. He frowned, narrowing his eyes. “Are those…Pokemon?” They weren’t residents of the Dragon’s Den. It was a Pikachu and a Charmander. “We’d have to send them out before they disturb the dragons here…”
Soon, the whirlpool sucking in the Dratini had stopped. Garchomp’s head popped out of the water, nodding toward the grateful Dratini. It’s not like the Dratini would have drowned anyway but Chase always responded to any trouble to provide help.
“Great job, Jian Liang,” Chase shouted hoarsely. Even his throat was getting tired. “Now please escort the wild Pikachu and Charmander out of the cave. Use force if necessary. We’ll meet up with you and the others outside.”
Jian Liang nodded. He gave the two Pokemon a fierce look and swam toward them like an incoming Sharpedo. Jian Liang jumped out of the water and landed on the ground powerfully. The dragon made an intimidating roar, stretching out its arms to showcase its fin-like blades; however, something had stuck on its tail earlier. The something had been thrown high in the air when he made his jump. This hadn’t gone unnoticed from Chase.
“Jian Liang! Above you!”
Jian Liang looked up. Something [red] was being pulled in by gravity and had, by chance, landed safely on his arms.
Chase blinked. “Erm…think that’s a new species of Pokemon?”
Haxorus clapped his hands excitedly.

something ... something was tangled between his legs. it wasn't the most pleasant feeling, but neither did it feel foreign. the texture of the thing felt slimy and a little rough - scaly - and it was bumping against him as the vortex sucked both him and the creature in. so this was it, then? however, there was a violent roar that shook the cave, the water even more due to how the sound waves were reverberating within the cave. zafaar clenched his teeth in order to prevent the water from flowing into his mouth, then kicked at the thing dragging him down further - which happened to be a dratini, but he didn't realize it, for his head was already below water. it felt as if the whirlpool was gradually ceasing; yet he felt no difference between it being present or absent. at the moment zafaar knew how a dirty piece of laundry felt in a tumble dry wash: horrid.
zafaar soon felt himself being dragged through the water and then tossed into the air. tumble-dry. once again those words flashed through his mind like some propaganda. and then everything went blank.
ikram had scampered back to where saladin was, nervous, skittish and about to fall into a thousand pieces. she was usually feisty enough to give a vulpix a run for its money, but not this time. seeing zafaar get swept up in the whirlpool, then getting assaulted by a garchomp that appeared out of nowhere settled it. zafaar was pretty much gone and that was it. time to move on. with a sense of finality, the mouse exhaled and glanced at the charmander.
saladin edged himself between ikram and jian liang. his roars did not intimidate him in the least; in fact, it only spurred him on. after all, there was something on the garchomp's tail that held his interest. it was zafaar. he seemed to be knocked out. it was then that the boy had suddenly reappeared in the dragon's arms, and he looked ... odd. washed-out, perhaps. he did not look like his normal self. the charmander nudged ikram; she glanced up and scampered over to jian liang.
lithely, she jumped onto the boy and gripped his collar. shocking him for being stupid seemed to be in order. but it'd kill him. how annoying of him. tears within her eyes, she stared at the unconscious human, then at the dragon.

Something…someone was on Jian Liang’s arm. Both the wild Pokemon scampered toward the boy while Jian Liang held him awkwardly, unsure of what to do as the Pikachu cried. When the Pikachu turned to him, he turned to Chase for help.
“We have to get down there,” Chase said to Haxorus. “Looks like somebody drowned. I don’t know.” Chase rubbed his temples. He was so exhausted that he wished he fainted but he couldn’t ignore the kid. He pulled himself up on Haxorus’ back, carefully wrapping his arms around his neck to avoid the axes. “Slide down the cliff. Now that you’ve fully evolved, the claws on your feet should be able to grind the rocks like they were made of powder. Just be sure stretch your head and tail to maintain balance. With me on your back, you’d have to apply more weight forward to counterbalance the weight on your back. Got that?”
Haxorus had no idea what he just said. Shrugging, he jumped right down the cliff.
“Wait, no - !” Chase felt his internal organs flying as gravity pulled them in. He gritted his teeth and hugged Haxorus’ neck tighter, not wanting to get thrown off. It seemed Haxorus realized he underestimated the distance and tried to stop their fall by moving toward the side of the cliff. He managed to grab on hold of a rock and got his feet on the uneven wall; however, the rocks shattered easily from his grip. He skated uncontrollably down the wall, leaving curvy tracks as if he was boarding downhill on snow. Haxorus raised his clawed foot, attempting to plant it in the wall.
“Don’t - !”
Haxorus didn’t go to a complete stop as he was hoping for. The other half of his body was pulled in by gravity, dangling on the wall with his foot stuck.
“Don’t move it! Get your other foot –”
But Haxorus had moved his stuck foot in panic. The hole cracked open and grew bigger until it broke apart, releasing Haxorus to tumble for the rest of its trip down the cliff. Chase fell on the ground face-first. When he tried to move, Haxorus crashed on his back, his weight sending Chase’s face back on the dirt.
“Hakshorush…getoff.”
For reasons unknown, Haxorus decided to first stand up and walk off Chase’s back like he was floor carpet. Chase felt the claws puncture small wounds on his skin and he was pretty sure he heard a bone snap.
Must…help…person…in need! He chanted in his head.
Chase lifted himself on his elbows and gestured for Jian Liang to come. Jian Liang looked at the boy on his arms, dropped him like a pillow, and went toward Chase. Jian Liang lowered himself to hear Chase out.
Chase almost lost his strength and slammed his head on the ground. “With the kid, Jian Liang. Bring him here.”
Jian Liang stood up, went back to where the human kid was, picked him up by the leg with an arm, and threw him unceremoniously right on Chase’s back.
“ACK! JIAN LIANG!” Chase shouted angrily. Jian Liang scratched the back of his head, confused. “You don’t throw people at people! It’s rude, not to mention very painful!” He couldn’t even more, much less to get the kid off him. “Haxorus, get him off my back please.”
Haxorus bent over and picked the kid up on his leg. The human was so light he might not even weigh a boulder, the Haxorus thought. He dropped the human on the side and proceeded poke him to test if he were dead. Haxorus had never seen any other humans. This one was certainly not like Chase.
“Haxorus!” Chase said, aghast. “You don’t drop people just like that! You have to gently put him down. And stop poking him!”
Chase managed to crawl toward the boy. He carefully positioned him so his face wasn’t making out with the dirt. Chase was ready for this kind of incidents. This time, the case seemed to be a drowned victim. He took a deep breath, not wanting to make a wrong move and worsen the kid’s situation. He listed the things to do in his head and proceeded to do them step-by-step.
First, he had to check the victim’s pulse. He felt for it on the kid’s upper arm, pinching it with his index and middle finger. Then he had to check if he were breathing. He bent close to the kid’s nose, trying to hear any sounds of breathing. If he had a pulse but wasn’t breathing, he would have to do rescue breathing smooching. If he didn’t have both, it would have to be a CPR.
Jian Liang and Haxorus watched curiously.

((sorry for the delay << and i'm not sure what i'm writing anymore.))
ikram watched with a quirked eyebrow. was she here for physical comedy? she thought not; the situation was far too serious to have time for comedy. the lack of urgency became even more apparent when the pokémon had no idea how to handle an unconscious body. seeing zafaar launched up into the air, tossed around like a ragdoll then landing down from above was pretty much going to be death upon him. thankfully, the boy was still relatively unconscious - the water had knocked him out cold. he was thin, she noted, slim and lacking in muscle or height. he was completely unlike the other human; chase was more well-built, and looked - for lack of a better word - healthier. zafarr hadn't been eating well, he wasn't okay ... many thoughts flooded the pikachu's mind. eventually, she whimpered then skittered closer to where zafaar finally laid.
saladin tailed her, not in the least sure what the rest of them were up to. they seemed a little ... odd. it was as if the haxorus wasn't used to its massive form just yet, at the same time, it wasn't used to seeing humans other than its own trainer. he somehow knew from experience and general knowledge; his green-hued irises faded in and out of view as he blinked a couple of times then turned to chase. the dragon trainer was currently feeling for signs of life from the black-haired boy; he would feel a weak pulse. yes, zafaar was alive, but only barely after the ordeal he had went through, as well as the torture he had endured at the hands of chase's dragons. alive, he was indeed, but breathing was an entirely different matter.
zafaar was weak at best. the teenager didn't quite have the usual breathing motions of a human, probably because of his cracked and broken ribs - he would be out of physical commission for some time. his chest was moving, but it was awkward; it was as if he didn't quite knew how to move his lungs. that, or they were filled with water - the salamander wasn't sure. he wasn't hospital staff, and he had never seen the details of how chansey treated other pokémon or how the nurses tend to human injuries. he let out a held breath, then glanced at chase. what would he other human do?

It seemed he had no other choice. He would have to perform a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. He had never actually done it before but Chase could remember the directions clearly in his head.
Chase moved to kneel beside the boy. If he hadn't been here to witness what happened, he would have assumed the kid was just sleeping peacefully. It slowly hit Chase that this kid might just die if he didn't do this one right. He felt nervous and even scared but he wasn't going to let his cowardliness cost the kid's life.
He learned forward, his head shadowing the boy's tranquil face. He raised his hands and reached for the boy's small chin to unclench his mouth. Chase felt like time had stopped completely and the weight on his shoulders doubled. Pressure began to build in his chest and Chase couldn't help but panic. He felt his every movement being watched, almost as if several pairs of eyes were on him...
“LOOK AWAY!” Chase said angrily to the Pokemon, blushing furiously. He didn't want an audience – not when he's...he's...going to put his mouth on another boy's lips! He shivered violently. Oh Arceus.
Must...save...person...in need! He chanted in his head.
He shut his eyes tightly. “Just do it, Chase! Do it and be done with it! Don't think now!” He mustn't waste anymore time. He had to do it. "Just imagine he's a little brother you never had...!"
He took a gasp of breath, casting away all embarrassing thoughts, and made a dive for the kid's mouth.

needless to say, what was going to unfold was horrifying. ikram stared on, her eyes widened in shock. was this other human ... going to .... to ... she crossed her arms, not in the least keen to show how disapproving she was; well, if it saved zafaar, she was entirely willing to shut her trap, watch the goings-on, then try to forget about the entire matter. the pikachu shot the charmander a gaze. even if she forgot, saladin would never - the salamander pokémon remembered almost everything he had seen and experienced before. he was like an elephant! ... only in lizard form. however, the more she watched, the more she couldn't take it.
she had to do something. as an electric creature, she had no choice but to rely on her own abilities. in the nick of time - or at least, it was to ikram - she launched a blast of weak electricity similar to a thunder wave in zafaar's direction. it hit the limp teenager, causing him to jolt upwards and thankfully away from chase's incoming mouth. whether the dragon trainer would eat dirt or otherwise did not matter to ikram. it was more vital to stop the other human from sexually assaulting her trainer. saladin watched on with a hint of mild amusement; he was of the opinion that had ikram not worry too much about how things were going to turn out, she would have come to the conclusion earlier instead of having to suffer through such an embarrassing turn of events.
"ghhk," zafaar choked, water spurting out from his mouth. his eyes slowly flickered open; the cave hadn't come into view for him, though. the teenager rolled over onto his side, not in the least keen on moving - it was cue enough for ikram to spring into action. scampering across the grounds, she bounced across chase, past the dragons to finally stop at the boy's side, watching him eagerly for more signs of life.
