Some questions before I decided to join

Hey Everyone!
I was wondering over a few things while I moved over the list.
First up, I'd like to say how much I like the sight of this place! The details, the fact you focus on Char development, ect..

1)But I'm failing to understand the store. Why in the world buy you Pokemon's evolution? Sites like Bulbapedia and such leave you with so much information. And don't get me wrong, I HATE math. Absolutely hate it. But still, a leveling system isn't that hard to make, without taking the focus of the chars right? (Just think of the hole scenes you can write about them going off to training, and then having a mod figure out by word count or quality how many levels gained. And that's possible without needing to go over the battle itself) I'm kinda starting to rant on this point, mainly cause I don't get it XD So some words of explanation please?

2)And my next question is once more about the store
No pokemballs ... so how do we capture? only by The Pokemon Roulette? Don't get me wrong, I like the idea the Pokemon Roulette. To tell the truth, it's as nice a touch as the Shiny Stone ^^
But if the Pokemon Roulette is the only way of capture, I do wonder about elemental type trainers. If your char really hates a Pokemon or a certain class/type of Pokemon, and the Roulette gives them that ones, doesn't that destroy the hole "personality development" idea?

3)Are there fakemon here?

4)English is supposed to be my 4th language. I'm not language miracle. I speak English rather good, but lamentably, my spelling isn't always that good. I don't hate spell check, but spelling errors always slip trough. That just happens; if spell check doesn't see it, I most defiantly won't. This also includes wrong spelling chosen, and translation errors. This is a post as I tend to write them, I'm sure a few slipped trough. I don't mind people telling me about spelling errors, but nothing I hate more then my profiles turning into a chat page, or just posts/PMs flaming me about spelling errors. I'd really like to be reassured that something like that won't happen.

5)I've been going over a few profiles, and it seems you're all either great digital artists, or great computer coding people. I'm not. I mainly draw traditional, do you accept drawings like that?
(and to make it easier here are a few examples)

6)The char I'm thinking of joining up here is very dear to me. I don't mind making a few changes to her, but I figured I should probably warn you. She's the albino girl you can see above. Half of the time, I make her semi-blind (as many albino's have vision problems due of the fact that there eyes are not well protected by a colored iris. Semi-blind, as in, can still see some things. Haven't toughed about what her vision restrictions might be.) but to 'fix' this, I also often give her some 'abilities'. (And read trough my post before you flame this)
A)As my Original Character, her original powers are 'visualization', Life Giving, healing and 'altering'. This is NOT coming with her in the Pokemon Universe. However, there are a few things going on in the Pokemon universe itself that might be acceptable. Psychic abilities and Aura, to name them. Not sure if either one is acceptable, but this would mainly be limited to finding her way around.
The powers she has will pretty much determen how limited I can make her blindness.
B)But that's not really my only opinion.
It's still telepathy, but if the powers are pointed down, I still like her to have a special connection (due of training) with a psychic type Pokemon that helps her around. (you know, sitting on her head and seeing everything for her.) I'm not really sure how a semi-blind person would otherwise find the way in strange and foreign lands.

i'm no staff, but i'll tryta answer.

1. it's easier and you can evolve your pokémon whenever you want instead of waiting for a certain level. it can get tedious leveling up all your pokémon if you don't start out with full evolutions.

2. there are pokéballs! you just magically take them out of wherever you think your character will store them and chuck them at wild pokémon. there's this account lurking around called WILD PKMN - that spawns wild pokémon found in that area and you can capture from there, i think.

3. nope. no fakémon.

4. english isn't my first language either. no worries.

5. most of our characters' pictures all come from existing characters from anime, if not, games, and those taken faces can be found if you click this . as for using traditional art - i'm not sure, staff would have to answer this question for ya.

6. i'm not sure about special abilities. some time ago staff was talking about adding a list of abilities one can buy - like psychic stuff and more, but once again, i'm not sure what happened to that. maybe it's boiling somewhere in staff meetings, maybe they've scrapped it. so: i'ma mark this as a staff question.

i might be wrong on some of this (once again, not staff), so if staff has a better answer, i trust they'll let you know. anyway, thanks for dropping in and having an interest in pokemoshika~ hopefully you'll come to a compromise with staff and join up :]

Hey there Nixly. I won't be able to answer all these questions since I'm in a little rush to go do something but I'll do my best to answer the questions the best I can. Magi would be able to answer these questions a lot better then I would since she is the admin of this site.

1) This question most likely will be answered by Magi. We feel as if it's better to just buy evolution instead of having to worry about those complicated leveling system. It feels it'll be a lot easier to work with.

2) Pokemon Capturing I believe is being worked on with the staff. We are going to be having another staff meeting to discussing things that we missed. This is a new site so there are a few things that haven't fully been looked at.

3) No fakemon on this forum!

4) Trust me, I'm not the best with spelling. It's alright you make a few spelling errors. As long as we can understand what you are talking about in your rp sample is fine although we prefer a spell check. I use Microsoft word when I do my post. It fixes my errors for me.


5) We only use Anime face claim for the characters. We don't accept drawings from DeviantArt or anything else.

6) Abilities are being worked on by staff as we speek so I wouldn't add that ability into the character yet until we finally decide to give it a go. Being Semi blind might be alright on the forum but I would double check on Magi about that. She is the creator of the forum so she knows more about the forum then I do.

a) Like above I wouldn't add powers into the bio yet until we discuss fully about it.

I'm really considering to join up, seems nice.
I'm only wondering were all the images come from then ^^;
I've always drawn them myself, so faceclaim is rather new. (I do RP Misty on a different forum, but all her images are self-drawn, based on what images Misty herself has)

So how do you guys get the images? (and how in the world so clean?)

I found one I like, but I'm not sure if she's acceptable (due of age) Nanashi of AR ~ Forgotten Summer, what's the minimum age allowed of chars?

And I got onto Photobucket, but isn't uploading screenshots against their rules? (copyright and such?) :/

Age limit is 10 and up only so your character should be fine.

I see people upload screenshots on Photobucket all the time.

I'm sorry, I've decide against it. I don't like using Faceclaims.
All chars I like tend to have very few images of them, and I can't make 'clean' images. Re-sizing, cutting, ect, are all things I suck at. I love the site's idea, it's unique and I would love to join up, but I can't get over the Face Claims.
