He hadn't a clue what kind of pokémon would be hatching from the egg, but this only led Arcadia to be even more excited for it. She'd never had a pokémon before, so when the Snivy hatched from the egg, she was excited and terrified but above all she was fascinated by the little one. Amazingly, little Mignon was a perfect fit for Cady, as they were quite alike with their tendencies to be so eager to learn, and the way they jumped at the chance to run outside. It didn't take very long for Mignon to evolve, either. A few months of training and battling the other young trainers around the city, and she evolved into a Servine. It was one of the happiest moments for the two of them. Energetic and curious, Mignon was always peeking around, and is the most rambunctious of the group, and as such has the biggest belly of them all. Nuage -- Drifloon -- -- ♀ Nuage has always been a very sweet pokémon, ever since the first day Arcadia met her. She'd been sitting just outside of the Vermillion city harbor, sitting at the edge with her feet in the water, when Nuage had floated beside her, a few feet away from her, just... dangling there in the air. Quickly, as if she was afraid the ghost pokémon would float away just as fast as it had come along, she flipped to a fresh drawing page and sketched her out. Instead of drifting away, she stayed there, almost as if she were posing, and spun in ecstatic circles when Arcadia showed her the finished product. For a few days this continued, the pokémon finding her whilst she drew outside, until Cady finally chose to use a pokéball and caught her. Nuage was happy to be a new member of the team, and is most definitely the most playful of the crowd. While she is mostly a happy pokémon, she is also quite sensitive, and will take little things to heart, but will also comfort others (even if they don't want her to!). ---> Aimé -- Glaceon -- -- ♂ Aimé was the second pokémon to join Cady's party, another gift from her father, though this time it was because the little guy was a stowaway on her father's ship and needed a home. Arcadia had been quite happy to take him in, though he didn't share the same feelings. It took a long time for Aimé to get used to his new surroundings, and he was quite stubborn when it came to being trained by Cady or to be put in the pokéball. Though it seemed hopeless at first, she didn't give up, but instead pushed on, ignoring the struggle he made to let her in. After time, she seemed to prove herself to him, and he accepted her as his trainer at last, though that doesn't mean he still doesn't have an attitude at times. Aimé evolved when they got to the Sinnoh region, when they'd ventured out onto Route 217. While he's always been quite stubborn, he is actually quite kind, though he hides it under a cold exterior. ---> Reine -- Espeon -- -- ♀ Reine is the latest addition to Acardia's party. Unlike Aimé, she did not raise Reine from an Eevee to a Espeon, but found her already evolved. When she found her, she was hiding in a corner of the Old Chateau house, badly hurt and tired. It turned out a Haunter and Gangar were attacking it unfairly, but when she showed up, they quickly disappeared. After she was certain they wouldn't be coming back, Arcadia had picked up the weak pokémon with all her strength and rushed her to the pokémon center in Eterna City. Once she was healed, and when no one claimed the Espeon as their own, Cady offered her a place with her, and Reine has been with her since then. Even though she is the newest member of Cady's party, she has already become the mother-figure to them all. Extremely protective, Reine will stop at nothing to make sure Cady and the other pokémon are safe, even if it means getting hurt herself. She is a very proud girl, and always thinks that she can do things better on her own, but she tries her hardest to let others, including Arcadia, help her when she needs it. SAMPLE POST: (from a harry potter site. js.) When kids around her had begun shuffling away from the dining table, Kristina had just barely sat down to eat. This should have been no surprise though, since for the past week she'd been losing herself in reading after classes, and that night had been no different. Normally, she would be disappointed that half the table was gone when she'd walked in, but she held in her arm a thick textbook, a copy of The Standard Book of Spells: Grade 6, and she was determined to get another couple chapters in while she ate her dinner, or really her dessert. She straddled the bench, a manner her mother would have disapproved of rather loudly, and placed her book down on the space between her legs, propping the cover and the back up with her thighs. Before diving into the material before her, she grabbed a slice of pumpkin pie, a favorite of hers, and when she got a fork she went right for the gooey center, avoiding the crust at all costs. As she ate, she gazed down at the book, indulging herself in her personal need to sponge up any knowledge available to her, her plate balanced precariously on her knee as she flicked to the section on nonverbal spells. Just as she finished her piece of pie - or really her piece of pie filling - and placed the golden dish onto the table, she felt a hand ruffle her hair in a friendly manner. Kristina looked up curiously just as Sage Wildwood sat beside her, grabbing a bowl as he spoke to her, and she couldn't help but smile, a usual occurrence whenever she was in the presence of the older boy. "Ah, no, not at all. I was thinking I might take another piece of pie before I head back, anyway." As delicious as the pumpkin pie had been, she still felt rather hungry, though it was no real surprise since she'd missed her chance at having dinner. Her fingers closed around the edges of her open book and she lifted it briefly, repositioning herself into a cross-legged fashion before placing it back in her lap. While her textbook was interesting enough, she found herself bored with it now that Sage was there, and silently fingered the pages as she watched him with unashamed interest. Although she'd been accused of seeing him as more than just a makeshift big brother on countless occasions, there had never been any sort of attraction there, almost like it had been imprinted into her system that he was family, the same way it was with her cousins. No, Kristina simply admired him, much the way she would have admired an older brother if she'd had one. Sure, she had Gert, but it was hard to look up to her older sister when she was so feminine and Krissy was... not. So it was no surprise that, over the years, she had found herself a 'big brother' to make up for it. Smiling at him, she grabbed a snicker doodle cookie from an assorted platter, and laughed when Sage spoke again. "Unfortunately, I was late to dinner as well tonight, so I wouldn't know," she said, frowning dramatically at him before taking a large bite of the soft cookie, cupping her hand under her chin so none of the crumbs fell into the folds of her book. That was all she needed, pressed crumbs between the pages. Her hazel eyes found his again, and she chuckled before putting the cookie on her stray napkin, then flicked her hands over it to rid herself of crumbs. Kristina sighed and closed her book then, putting it next to the napkin as she pulled her knees up to her chest, looking at him as she rested her chin on them. "Hey Sage...," she said slowly, thinking about her words before she spoke up again, "how do you get by without Temi around?" Her voice died at the end of the sentence, and she knew then she'd been wanting to ask him that for some time. Lowering her gaze, she willed herself not to tear up, but knew it would be inevitable if they continued down this path of discussion. All Kristina wanted to know these days was how to get by without Jacob, how to survive without the other half of her being there beside her. It was getting harder to throw herself into studying and homework, and the knowledge that he would rather be with her at school than at home only made it harder. She was constantly wondering if she had made the wrong decision, coming back without him, if she should have just stayed despite his protests. Kristina bit her lower lip and hugged her knees harder, feeling the familiar sting behind her eyes that meant tears were coming. [/style] |
